What a great experience this was, I saw a post on Reddit in which author Bryce O’Connor started this great initiative in which we would raise money so it was donated to Covid-19 causes, and I am incredibly grateful that my book, The Sapphire Eruption, was one of the 144 books that were part of the Lockdown Readfest (and, as result, me being one of the 63 authors that was involved on this solidarity project.
In case you are curious, this is the original post in which all the books were collected.
The idea was the following: the event lasted for 2 days, and all contributors pledged that at least 50% of the proceeds from the sales would be donated to Covid cause.
These were the final results of the event:
Total Books Sold: 9.824
Total Donation: $8.984
In my case, I decided to donate 100% of the proceeds to the Covid Response Fund.
